Peace and Freedom

Peace and freedom to you on this Memorial Day. I hope all of you attended a Memorial's Day service to honor past and present members of the military. In honor of this day, here is a poem that was read at the service we attended.

                                                                FLANDERS FIELD

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place: and in the sky
The larks still bravely singing fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the dead: Short days ago,
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved: and now we lie
In Flanders fields!

Take up our quarrel with the foe
To you, from failing hands, we throw
The torch: be yours to hold it high
If ye break faith with us who die,
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields

So Close, So Stinkin Close

In fact, I am close. To several things. Next week will be the arrival of two things I do really enjoy, Facebook, and the end of school!! YEA!!!! I cannot wait.Well, as my dad says, I can , I just don't want to. But, right now I am so tired. I was up to about 4 am last night, er, morning, with Malachi and Alex. yea, details not included. lol

Creation is coming closer. I am starting to get chills when I think about it. I heard Skillet has upped their live show(hard to imagine) even more so. Oh, and Skillet's song Awake and Alive Remixed has been chosen for Transformers 3 soundtrack. Cool huh?

I saw Thor. It was okay. Typical action flick. Kinda like Clash of The Titans. It had one good twist, but that was about it. Natalie Portman has been everywhere this year. Seems like every other movie cover of a new movie I see has her face on it. Geez.

To Dance? Yes, to dance!

Yes, I went to the wedding reception/dance. Yes, I danced with said girl, among several others. It was quite fun. I did enjoy myself. But, nevertheless, I'm glad its only once a year.

So, this is how it went down. Now, unlike previous years, this was not an official Sea Cadet Ball, but a wedding, with the reception having dancing in it. The idea being from the bride. So, we showed up at about 6(we being my family and I). They served food at about 6:30, and we sat down and ate. The group I hung out with was my date and I, Dustin and Tara, Sophia, Alex(his date was other places in between dances), and Lauren. Lauren and Sophia had no partner. Sophia's partner just stood her up and didn't show. She was pretty disappointed. So, besides dancing with our partners and others, us guys took turns dancing with her. Funny thing is tho, she has been dancing for like six years, and us guys, uh, not. So, we had a little trouble keeping up with her. She is really good.

Like I said this was not an official dance, so the music was previously selected and they didn't play as many Waltz songs and stuff as previous times. There were a lot more dance songs, or country, and stuff that's kinda hard to do the foxxtrot to ya know. So....we freestyled. Made it up.

And then the awesome happened. They turned off the lights, handed out glowsticks, and cranked out some serious electronic, dance beats. It was epic!!!! There were glow sticks flying everywhere, and we would get in a big bunch, and just jump!!! Some of the adults didn't like it as much. My family left, and I got to stay and clean afterwards. It ended at 10:00! I would leave with Dustin and Tara. Yes. A very good experience. Once a year. lol

Here is a video of the peoples i was with at the begining.

English Please, English

My teacher has this idea that he thinks it's funny to tell you what to do in a foreign languages. Crazy guy. And cuz he has travelled around the world, it's a different language every time. He gets a real crack out of it too. We are trying to break him of that. LoL.

There is this girl in my classroom, Lauren is her name. She has taken to writing stories and using her fellow students as the characters. In which we are pretty sure she just acts out her inner, ummm, darkest, wishes-er-ideas.....idk. Anyway, they are a real hoot to read and I have been made the official narrator of these stories at lunch. Funny thing.

The last dance practice is this Thursday, the dances I have learned being the Waltz, Electric Slide, Lindsay Shuffle, Virginia Reel, Swing, and Foxxtrot. God help me remember those. The dance its self is on Friday. Which is kinda sad, being that I wasted my last day on earth at a ball, seeing how the world is gonna end on Saturday. Or so at least that's what Harold Kamping says. LoL. Personally, I tend to agree with SCRIPTURE when it says, in Matthew 25:13, "Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming." NKJV. But, who knows? I mean really? Who actually knows? Not you, or me, and definitely not Harold Kamping. You can take that to the bank!

Anyway, school is ALMOST OVER!!! I CAN HARDLY STAND IT!!!!

Busy Is My Middle Name

WoW. Well, for starters, I apologize about not posting in so long. I have been UBER busy with increased homework, dance lessons, basketball and whatever else our busy schedule throws our way. And trying to keep a steady workout schedule is quite difficult. I have merely been trying to survive the chaos until school ends June 3rd. Oh the joy!! : )

As previously stated, I will be going to the ball, and dance lessons have begun as of just over two weeks ago. It has been an interesting experience, more fun than I expected, but still dreaded over. So far I have learned(or at least the ones i know the names of) the Electric Slide, Waltz, basic Swing, Foxtrot, and two others whose names I can't remember. I know they both involved two lines of peoples. One of them went to this form I think, two lines facing inward, alternating so that everyone was in between two people in the other line, and goes something like this: right-skip, step-behind, left-skip, step-behind,forward-step-skip, forward-step-skip, 180 degree turn, and 1-2 foot stomp. That's prolly the furthest thing from it but that's the best I can describe it.....*fail*....

Anyhoo, at the very least Dustin is there, and he and I hang together. He and Tara are going, but, little detail here, they both like each other. So, that's good for them.

My school will not be going to Virgina this year. Unfortunately, we started fundraising waay to late, so we had nowhere near the amount of money we needed. And, some of the parents were a little worried about the retaliation attacks coming from Bin Laden's supporters. And, if in fact we killed the real one, then there will definitely be at least an attempt at retaliation, that can be surety.

I have seen a movie recently that I must talk about. Kings Speech. Very good. Only one scene damns the movie to an R rating, otherwise its a simply fantastic. Four grammys I believe. Wonderful. Absolutely fantastic. Incredible. UBER AWESOME DUDE!!!

One last thing, want to get in shape? Want to firm up? Try P90X. It is killer! It is a must. My mom and I both do it(when we have time), trying our bloody hardest to keep in line with the schedule. It is absilutely wonderful. Great workouts. LUV IT!!
